Introduction

We write. Why?

Because we often search for answers. Because we try to figure out who we are and we believe that if we can put our thoughts onto paper, we get closer to our goal.

People kept journals since they first learnt to scribble symbols on cave walls. We will never know if they wrote for themselves or for those that were to come.

We write stories, novels and poetry. We write love notes that we scatter across our home for the ones we love in hope that the little note will brighten their day.We sometimes write things that we would like to hear, or things that we hope will never see the light of day (I think this is what they say).

Sadly, nowadays, the genre I love the most, poetry, rarely gets published. And why? Because most of the lyrics are now songs. Because few of us choose to read poetry instead of listening to music.

I won't deny, I love music. I love putting my headset on, turning the volume up and just get lost in the rhythm. But I still need the book with no background music, just me trying to figure out the author's thoughts and feelings.

I used to write, but I got caught up in life. You know how it goes...you finish high-school, get caught up into college, new job, maybe you start a family and without realising, you don't have time for things that once mattered most to you.

So...I'm back to my first love: writing. This is my start. You'll hear more from me soon.
